If your organization's security policy won't let Cvent store credit card information, CyberSource Secure Acceptance allows you to collect online payments while keeping that sensitive information for your eyes only. 
 
NOTE: If storing credit card information in Cvent is not a security concern for you, consider CyberSource's API integration.  

1 Get a CyberSource Secure Acceptance account. Contact a reseller or CyberSource directly at 888.330.2300 to purchase a CyberSource Secure Acceptance gateway account.

2 Whitelist the Cvent URL. Once your account is active, create a Web/Mobile profile. Open your profile and click Customer Response Pages. In the Transaction Response Page section, click the radio button beside “Hosted by you.” Copy and paste the following URL into the field that appears: https://www.cvent.com/Events/integrations/cybersource/CyberSourceResponse.aspx. Do the same for the Custom Cancel Response Page section.

Click Save.

Click Payment Form. Match your settings to the checkboxes below:

Click Save.  

3 Generate the security key. Log in to your new CyberSource account. Generate the Access Key and Secret Key by following these directions

4 Share your account info with us. We’ll need some information to get the API, the connection between Cvent and CyberSource, up and running. Fill out this form so we’re not left in the dark. 

You will be asked for: 
  • Cvent account ID
  • CyberSource Merchant ID
  • Profile ID
  • Access Key
  • Secret Key
After submitting the form, allow two to three business days for setup and testing. You’ll receive a notification email when your account is ready.

5 Run a credit card test. Once your CyberSource account is linked to Cvent, test it with a credit card using these instructions to ensure payments and refunds are working properly.
