Once you're finished importing contacts, you can check the Import Summary report by going to Contacts > Reporting. If someone was skipped, click the corresponding error message to be taken to the solution below.

Possible errors include: Record Skipped (Not Applicable), Matching ID Not in Load File, Invalid Email Format; Matching ID Not in Load File, Invalid Email Format, Source ID Specified was Invalid, Duplicate Source ID in Load File, Duplicate Email in Load File, Duplicate Source ID in Contacts, Error, and Invalid Home Country Code.

Change the import method
When the error is "Record Skipped (Not Applicable)," the contact was ignored due to what you chose in the Import Method field. For example, if you select “Insert new contacts, skip existing contacts,” anyone already in the Address Book will be skipped.
 

1 Click the  icon in the top-right, then select Contacts from the dropdown.
2 Click Import.
3 Select a different Import Method to ensure everyone will be included in the import.

Correct a contact's email address or source ID
"Matching ID Not in Load File" and "Invalid Email Format; Matching ID Not in Load File" appear when the email or source ID are missing from the file. "Invalid Email Format" and "Source ID specified was invalid" mean the format is wrong, such as cquirk@.com, or the source ID includes unique characters (&,*,+, etc.).

1 Find the contact within the file and correct the email address or source ID.

Remove duplicate contacts from the file
"Duplicate Source ID in Load File" and "Duplicate Email in Load File" appear when the same email or source ID are in the import file. Since the email and source ID are unique identifiers, only one can be imported. Duplicate contacts will be skipped.

1 Find the initial contact within the file and ensure their info is correct.
2 Find the duplicate and remove them from the file.

Remove duplicate contacts from the Address Book
"Duplicate Source ID in Contacts" appear when the same source ID is already in the Address Book multiple times, and is also present in the import file. Since the source ID is a unique identifier, the duplicate contact in the file will be skipped.
 
1 Click the  icon in the top-right, then select Contacts from the dropdown.
2 Click Find Duplicates.
3 Check the box next to Source ID.
4 Click Search.
5 Merge the duplicate contacts or update their source IDs.
6 If the contact needs to be in the file, either make their source ID unique and import the contacts or select a different import method.

Clear Excel formatting
"Error" appears when hidden formatting is affecting the import.
 
1 Open the import file in Excel.
2 Select everything (Ctrl + A). 
3 In the Editing group under the Home tab, click Clear, then Clear Formats.
4 Save the file and try again.

Update Country Name to English
"Invalid Home Country Code" appears when a county's name is written in the native language, such as "Schweiz," instead of English (Switzerland).
 
1 Open the import file in Excel.
2 Find the country and update the name to the English spelling.

3 Try again.
