Related contacts connect two contact records together, such as spouses or parents and children, allowing these invitees to quickly add the other as their guest.

NOTE: Adding previous guests does not work in Preview or Test Mode.
 
In Flex
 
1 Access the Site Designer. Begin by selecting your Flex event. Hover over Website & Registration and, under Registration, click Registration Process. To the right of the page you'll be collecting guests, click Customize.

2 Allow invitees to add their related contacts as guests. If you've already added the "Guest Registration" widget to your canvas, click it. Additional settings will appear to the right.

If you haven't added the widget, click Build to the right of the canvas, and in the Registration Actions section, drag and drop the "Guest Registration" widget onto the canvas. Additional settings will appear to the right.

In the Advanced Settings section, toggle "Invitees can select guests from their Related Contacts" to green.


If an invitee is registering a guest for the first time, you can add them to your Address Book and connect the two contact records automatically. To do so, click Address Book Settings.

Toggle "Add new guests to the Address Book" to green.
Additional options will appear. Toggle "Add new guests to the invitee's Related Contacts" to green.

Click Save to preserve a draft or Publish to make this visible to customers.


Continue setting up the guest registration.
 
In Classic
 
1 Access the Guests tab. Begin by selecting your event. Hover over Website & Registration and, under Registration, click Registration Settings. If your event has multiple paths, select one.

The Basic Settings tab opens by default. Click the tab to the right, Guests, then Edit.

2 Allow invitees to add their related contacts as guests. Scroll down to the Advanced Settings section and ensure Yes is selected for "Invitees must provide personal information about their guests during initial registration."

Switch "Invitees can select guests from their related contacts" to Yes.

If an invitee is registering a guest for the first time, you can add them to your Address Book and connect the two contact records automatically. To do so, check Address Book and Invitee's related contacts to connect the records for next to "Add new guests to the."

Continue setting up the guest registration.

 
NOTE: If an invitee is coming from a weblink, and the "Add Previous Guests" button is not displaying, go to Website & Registration > Registration > Registration Settings > Identification & Security and switch "Pre-populate the information of registrants who arrive through a public weblink" to Yes.
