You've picked a template for your email or webpage, but, when you go to change something, all you see is a mess of boxes lined with dots. Don't let that frighten you. What you're seeing is really just HTML tables, gussied up with images, borders, and backgrounds. You can totally do this.

Take a deep breath, open the HTML Editor
, and follow the directions below to replace images, resize elements, delete cells, change background colors, edit border color, size, and style, or add spacing to tables and cells.

NOTE: These instructions are for Classic events. If you're creating a Flex event, reference this article instead.

Replacing Images

Begin by clicking the image you want to replace. Click the Insert tab, then click Media Library. When the pop-up appears, locate the new image, and click Insert to replace the existing one.

NOTE: Add images to your Media Library from here by opening a folder and clicking Add File in the top left corner of the screen.

Click Save or OK. If the HTML Editor appeared in a separate window, be sure to save on the original page as well.

Resizing Images, Tables, and Cells

When you select an image, small boxes appear on the corners and midpoints. Click and drag them to resize the image.

Need more precision? Right click the image and click Properties.... When the pop-up opens, click the broken link User-added image between the Width and Height fields to close it. This links the two dimensions so you don't distort the image. Enter a new width or height, then click OK.

You can resize tables by right clicking and selecting Table Properties. The Table Wizard opens in a pop-up. Enter new dimensions in the Height and Width boxes.

NOTE: Don't click and drag a corner to resize the table. This will generate a height. Leaving the height undefined prevents unnecessary spaces.

To resize a cell, right click inside it, and select Cell Properties. Enter new dimensions in the Height and Width boxes.

Click OK to return to the HTML Editor.

Click Save or OK. If the HTML Editor appeared in a separate window, be sure to save on the original page as well.

Deleting Cells

Click inside the cell you want to delete, then right click and select Delete Cell

Changing the Background Color

To change the background color of a table or cell, click inside it, then scroll down and click  the paint bucket icon next to the Background field at the bottom of the HTML Editor. Select a color from the dropdown or click Add Custom Color... to enter a hex value.

Click Save or OK. If the HTML Editor appeared in a separate window, be sure to save on the original page as well.

Changing the Border Color, Style, or Width

Put a box around your content and draw lines within by adding borders to your table and its cells. You can change the width, line type, and color.

Padding Tables and Cells

Padding is the space between a border and the content inside.

To increase or decrease the padding in a table or a cell, click inside it. Select the Insert tab. In the Content section, click the User-added image icon on the right. The Style Builder opens in a pop-up.

Click Box on the left. In the Padding section, enter a number in the Top, Bottom, Left, or Right box. Use the checkbox to apply the amount to all sides. To decrease existing padding, enter a negative number.

Click OK to return to the HTML Editor. If you added padding to a table, you may need to resize it before the padding is evident.

Click Save or OK. If the HTML Editor appeared in a separate window, be sure to save on the original page as well.
