You launched your event, sent out invitations, and even accepted a few payments. Everything was going great, and, now, all of a sudden, people are telling you they can't register. What happened? Chances are your event moved from Active to Closed status. Fortunately, reopening registration is almost always a simple process.
 
NOTE: These instructions are for the New Experience. If you haven't already, click Switch Now in the top of your account to follow the steps below. If you're using the Classic Experience, reference this article instead.

1 Access your event. Begin by selecting your event.

2 Find out why it closed. From the left-hand navigation, click General, then Event Status

Under Registration Status, Click the View History... link.


Click the User-added image next to Registration Closed to see what happened. Either it was closed by you or another account user, the registration deadline passed, or the capacity was reached.

3 Reactivate it. Click Reopen Registration.

Depending on how your event was closed, you will need to adjust the event settings. Your options include:
  • Set a New Registration Deadline means the date to register for the event has passed. Enter a new date that occurs before your event's end date, and click Confirm.
  • Set a New Capacity indicates a capacity was reached. Enter a new capacity, and click Confirm. Check the capacity of your admission items, agenda items (including quantity items) and enter new capacities if necessary.
NOTE: An event will only close for quantity items if the option "Close the event if this items reaches capacity" is enabled.
  • A confirmation screen implies a planner closed the event. Click Confirm to reactivate your event.
