Need to vet each host's appointment before it's sent to an attendee? Require your approval within an appointment type to review a host's appointment details before requests are sent to attendees and time slots are reserved.

1 Require approval for the appointment type. Begin by selecting your Appointments event. Hover over Event Details and, under Setup, click Appointment Types. Click on an appointment type, then Edit.

In the Scheduling section, switch "Require planner approval for these appointments" to Yes.

Click Save.

NOTE: If this setting is enabled, the host of the appointment will receive the Appointment Pending Planner Approval email when they request an appointment. Customize the content of this email in Emails > Appointment Emails for Hosts > Appointment Pending Planner Approval.

2 Access the Calendar from the automated email. When a host sends an appointment request of that appointment type to an attendee, you'll receive an automated email with the appointment's details.

In the body of the email, click View more information about this appointment and respond to request to open the Calendar and approve or deny the appointment.

NOTE: Customize the content of this email in Emails > Appointment Emails for Planners > Planner - Appointment Pending Approval.

Or, access the Calendar from your Appointments event. Click Calendar in the top navigation bar.

3 Approve or deny the appointment. Pending appointments will appear in orange. You'll also have a notification in the top-right, which displays the appointments that are pending approval.

The attendee will still have to accept or decline the appointment.
