Collect online payments through your Cvent event by setting up a Touch.Net account. This payment gateway is used by higher education institutions to process secure online transactions to students, faculty, and alumni.
 
NOTE: This gateway uses hosted order pages, which means Cvent does not store credit card information but there are limitations. If these are an inconvenience, consider using TouchNet Payment Gateway Web Services instead.

1 Get a TouchNet Account. Contact TouchNet to set up your uPay site.  

To keep registrants from getting blocked when they go from your Cvent registration to your uPay site, ask your TouchNet representative to "whitelist" the IP addresses and domains marked for the application.


They'll also need to add the following URLs to your uPay site. Ensure your representative knows to include the external transaction ID in the URL so registration flows correctly.
  • Return URL: https://www.cvent.com/Events/APIs/Touchnet/TouchnetReturnPage.aspx?action=r
  • Cancel URL: https://www.cvent.com/Events/APIs/Touchnet/TouchnetReturnPage.aspx?action=c
  • Error URL: https://www.cvent.com/Events/APIs/Touchnet/TouchnetReturnPage.aspx?action=e
2 Share your account info with us. Share your TouchNet account info with us by filling out this form.

You'll be asked for: 
  • Cvent account ID
  • uPay site ID
  • uPay site URL
  • T-link webservice URL
  • Accepted currencies
  • Accepted credit cards
Allow two business days for setup and testing. You’ll receive a notification email when your account is ready.

3 Run a credit card test. Once your TouchNet account is linked to Cvent, test it with a credit card using these instructions to ensure payments and refunds are working properly.
