Stripe is a payment solution that combines both a merchant account and gateway. You can collect online payments in Classic or Flex events as well as OnArrival using a standalone Stripe account. Though Cvent cannot connect to accounts already using another gateway (such as iDEAL or Alipay) through the Sources platform. 
 
NOTE: If you use Stripe, you won't be able to use Group Registration and Registration Approval in the same event. If this is an inconvenience, consider using another payment gateway.  

1 Share your account info with us. We’ll need all this information to start setting up the API, the connection between Cvent and Stripe. Fill out this form, so we’re not in the dark.

You'll be asked for: 

 
  • Cvent account ID
  • Accepted currencies
  • Accepted credit card types

After submitting the form, allow two to three business days for setup and testing. You’ll receive a notification email when your account is ready.

2 Connect to Cvent. Following the initial set up, the eCommerce team will send an email to the primary contact. Click the link in this message, then Connect with Stripe.

If you already have a Stripe account, click Sign In on the top right. If you don’t, fill out the form to sign up for one. Once you’re done, let us know by creating a case.


3 Run a credit card test. Once your Stripe account is linked to Cvent, test it with a credit card using these instructions to ensure payments and refunds are working properly.
