You can't change them or deactivate them, but, if you're processing credit cards through a merchant account, registrants automatically receive an email whenever they pay, receive a refund, or their transaction fails. There's also no way to preview these messages in Cvent, so every one of them has been added below for your reference.


Successful Payment for Registration

As soon as the registrant's credit card goes through, they receive this confirmation. It will get combined with the Registration Confirmation email if they're triggered at the same time.

Unsuccessful Payment for Registration

If the registrant tries to pay but their transaction fails, they receive this alert. They'll get an error message instead of this email, if they simply entered the wrong credit card information.

Successful Payment for Modifying Registration

If a registrant modifies their registration and pays the difference, they receive this confirmation. It will get combined with the Modification Confirmation email if they're triggered at the same time.

Unsuccessful Payment for Modifying Registration

If the registrant tries to pay the new balance but their transaction fails, they receive this alert. They'll get an error message, instead of this email, if they simply entered the wrong credit card info.

Successful Refund

If a registrant requests a refund and the amount is added back to their credit card, they receive this confirmation.

Unsuccessful Refund

If the registrant requests a refund but the transaction fails, they receive this alert.

Refund Submitted for Events Using CPS

If you're using CPS and refund a registrant, they'll receive this alert.
