Don't force invitees to look up from their phones when you don't have to. Make your Classic event mobile friendly so they can register in bed, on the bus, during a meeting, or while waiting for their desktop to power up.

NOTE: Mobile registration isn't magic. This feature is only supported on the latest versions of Blackberry, Android, Apple, or iOS devices. Check out this list to learn what invitees can only do using a computer.

1 Activate the mobile features. Begin by selecting your event. Hover over Event Details and, under General, select Event Configuration. Click Edit. In the Website & Registration section, check the boxes beside Mobile Registration and Mobile Website.

Click Save.

2 Edit display settings, if necessary. Hover over Website & Registration and, under Website, click Mobile Website. The Format tab opens by default. Click Edit.

To deactivate a page in the mobile version, select No from the dropdown in the Display column. You can change the page and window titles for the mobile version only by editing the text in the appropriate fields.

Display a header by clicking Yes, use a custom header, then Browse Library... to locate the file. For best results, be sure your header is 480px by 80px.

A "page break" on a mobile device means the user has to click Next to see more fields or questions. Choose how many to display before the break using the dropdowns in the Registration Settings section. If you've already added page breaks to the desktop version of your site, click Yes beside "Also use desktop website page breaks for pages that display questions" to break up your questions the same way.

In the Advanced Settings section, you can choose whether to display a progress indicator and planner contact info, or edit the link that takes people to the desktop view of the site.

Having a hard time envisioning all this? Refer to the graphic below.

Once you're done, click Save.

3 Change the theme, if necessary. The mobile version inherits the color scheme of the desktop version by default, but you can change this. To do so, select the Theme tab and click Edit.

Use the Hub Page Icon dropdown to change the shade of the buttons on the mobile version's hub page. For better readability, use light icons on dark backgrounds and dark icons on light backgrounds.

In the Colors section, click inside any field to enter a hex value or select a color from the pop-up. Then, click OK. Preview the new color in the example phone on the right.

Once you're satisfied, click Save, or click Reset Website Colors to start over.

NOTE: To see the finished product, take out your mobile device and test your event's website and registration. If your event is already active, just send yourself the Mobile Event Hub weblink.
