Don't want to wait till after the closing remarks to find out what registrants are thinking? With Cvent, you don't have to. Follow the steps below to allow feedback before the event's over.
 

In Flex Events

1 Access the Premium Feedback Survey. Begin by selecting your Flex event. Hover over Website & Registration and, under Surveys, click Feedback Surveys. Click Open Survey Designer.

NOTE: If you are using the Basic feedback survey, your registrants will automatically have access to the event feedback survey once they are marked as participants.

2 Allow early feedback for the overall event. In the top left corner of the canvas, click the dropdown, then in the General Event Feedback section, hover over the feedback survey you want to customize, and click the User-added image icon to the right. From the Survey Availability dropdown, select During the event, the from the "When should the survey open dropdown, select At the start of the event.
 
NOTE: To open your survey prior to the start of the event, reference this article instead.

Or allow early feedback prior to the session ending. In the top left corner of the canvas, click the dropdown, then in the Survey section, hover over the session you want to customize, and click the User-added image icon to the right. To limit when the session will be available switch "Available" to Starting at a certain time. Then, from the Time dropdown, select Custom and enter how many minutes prior to the session's end time that the survey will be available. This is commonly used for looped session chapters or if you have several sessions throughout the event and you want registrants to only fill them out at a certain time prior to the session's end.
 
NOTE: To keep the session feedback surveys open for the duration of the event, leave "Available" as Always.

Click Apply.
 

Then, click Save to save your changes and continue editing or Publish to make them available to invitees.
 
3 Invite registrants to take the survey. Once you've finished setting up the survey, you'll need to customize and schedule the Feedback Survey email.


In Classic Events

1 Access the Feedback Survey. Begin by selecting your event. Hover over Website & Registration and, under Surveys, click Feedback Survey to access the questions you created.

2 Allow early feedback. The General Questions tab opens by default. Select the rightmost tab, Page Setup, and click Edit. If you have multiple registration paths, select one from the dropdown at the top.

Under Basic Settings, click Yes next to "Registrants can take the survey before the event ends."

Click Save. The Feedback Survey will now be open to anyone who registered through this path while the event is Active or Closed. Once the event reaches the end date (listed in Event Details > General > Event Information), the survey is only available to registrants and marked participants.

If you have multiple registration paths, repeat this step for each one.
 
NOTE: You still need to send registrants the Event Feedback email under Post-Event Emails.

3 Invite registrants to take the survey. Once you've finished setting up the survey, you'll need to customize and schedule the Feedback Survey email.
