Session groups are a way to organize multiple optional sessions. Since an invitee can only select one session from a session group, they can be used to prevent scheduling conflicts, limit an invitee's selection, or simply shorten the registration process.
 
NOTE: Though it's easy to mix them up, session groups and session categories are two distinct features that work together to customize how sessions display during registration.
 
1 Access the Create Session Group page.
Begin by selecting your event. Hover over Event Details and, under Agenda Items, click Session Groups. Click Create Session Group. Optional sessions must be created before they can be associated to a session group.

2 Enter the group details. Name your session group. Decide if invitees are required to choose a session. Describe the group in the provided textbox.

Scroll down to the Status section. Ensure Yes is selected next to "Open for registration." Before entering anything in the "Automatically closes on" field, make sure you actually want to prevent people from registering for these sessions at the start of the specified date (i.e. 12:00 am). If left blank, the session group will close with the event.

Check the box next to each session's name to include it in your session group.
 
NOTE: A session can only appear in one session group. Greyed out sessions already belong to another track or session group, and cannot be associated to the current group.

3 Choose how it will look. In the Display Options section, establish whether you want your sessions grouped in a dropdown or a radio button list. If you plan on having multiple session groups, they will be displayed by earliest to latest placement dates.

Check the appropriate boxes to select which information you want to present for each session.

 
NOTE: If you want to display prices for sessions within a group, you must display the sessions in a "Radio button list" and select Yes for "Price" in the Display Options section.
