Gather all that glowing feedback in the same place by importing up to 10,000 responses from a paper survey into your event.
 
NOTE: This feature is only available in Classic events. Also, if you only collected feedback outside of Cvent, you must create the questions in your event before you can import the answers.
1 Access the import wizard. Begin by selecting your event. Hover over Invitee Management and, under Import, click Feedback.

If you have multiple registration paths, select the path where you created the questions from the dropdown.

2 Download the template file. Click the first Download a file link and save the file. This file contains your questions and registrants.
The second Download a file link is just for reference. It shows you how to format different answer types so they don't get skipped during import.
 
NOTE: You can only import event-level feedback from invitees who have an Accepted status or have been marked as a participant and only in an Active, Closed, or Completed event. Session-level feedback cannot be imported.

Locate the file on your computer or network. Right click the file, hover over Open with, and select Microsoft Office Excel.

3 Prepare your data. Do not delete or reorder anything in the first row. These are the column headers. Copy your registrants' answers in their corresponding rows.

After adding your data, open the File menu and click Save As. In the Save as type dropdown, make sure the Text (Tab delimited) option is selected. Click Save. If a warning message appears, go ahead and click Yes.

4 Import the file. Back in Cvent, click Browse... to locate the file on your computer or network. Once you're done, click Next.

Use the dropdowns to match the question headers in your import file to the questions you created in the registration path.

Click Next.

Your selections from the prior steps will appear. If you need to make any changes, click Previous. Click Finish to import the file.

5 Check your work. To check the status of your import, hover over Reporting and, under Reports, click Reports.


Post event feedback appears in the following reports:
  • Answer Details by Registrant
  • Answer Details by Survey
  • Event Survey - Answer Details
  • Event Survey - Answer Summary
  • Agenda Items - Registration Details
 
NOTE: Your import will take a few minutes to appear in the report.
