With a few memorable reference IDs, you can find out which registrants accessed registration through your Facebook page, Twitter feed, or a sponsor's website. Use them to maximize your promotion efforts.

Adding Reference IDs to Links

1 Access your weblinks. Begin by selecting your event. Hover over Promotion & Communication and, under Web, click Weblinks.

2 Add a reference ID. Find the link you need, hover over the User-added image, and click Edit.

Add a reference ID. This is typically a one-word description of where you'll place this link, something you'll recognize when you run reports.

NOTE: Don't see an option you like or want multiple reference IDs for the same destination? Create a link instead.

Click Save. You can now copy the URL and use it like a regular link.

Running Reports on Reference IDs

1 Track where registrants arrived from. Find out where your registration traffic is coming from by running an event report. Begin by selecting your event. Hover over Reporting and, under Reports, select Reports.
Under Common Reports, click Registrants. Hover over Data in the top right, then click Change Report Data. Click the neighboring tab, Fields, then scroll down to the Registration Information section and click Reference ID. Click Run.

To group the list by Reference ID, scroll down to the Registrants table where all registrants' names are listed out. Hover over ... in the top right and click Edit. Click the neighboring tab, Groupings. Click on the dropdown, then select Reference ID. Click Update.

Or track where registrants for all your events arrived from. There are several cross event reports you can run on reference IDs. Hover over Cross Events and select Cross Event Reports. Scroll down to Registration Reports, then click Invitees and Registrants. The Report Data Settings will open. Click the neighboring tab, Fields, then scroll down to the Registration Information section and click Reference ID. Click Run.

To group the list by Reference ID, hover over ... in the top right and click Edit. Click the neighboring tab, Groupings. Click on the dropdown, then select Reference ID. Click Update.

Find the event you want to view data for, then click the arrow to the left of its name. The event's reference IDs will be listed. Click the arrow to the left of the one you want to view registrants for.
