Not only does Language Management allow multiple language events, the feature also gives you control over every word your invitees will read, including error messages, buttons, and field names.

As illustrated below, textual changes on a registration path overwrite textual changes in an event which, in turn, overwrite any textual changes made at the account level.

Customizing Account-Wide Text

1 Access the Localization page. Begin by clicking Admin in the top right. Hover over Account and, under Localization, click Languages.

If applicable, select a language.

2 Download the language template. You cannot import changes without downloading the language template, a spreadsheet that contains all customizable system text.

Hover over Actions and click Export Text.

Open the file in Excel. The first column contains the Text ID, the second lists the default text, and the fourth provides a description. Add any custom text in the third column.
 
NOTE: To completely remove the text all together, enter   in the custom text.

3 Import your changes. After entering your changes, save the spreadsheet as a text file (.txt) or Excel workbook (.xls or .xlsx).

Back in Cvent, hover over Actions and click Import Text.

Click Browse... to locate the file on your computer or network. Once you're done, click Next >>.

Map your columns to the Cvent fields and click Next again. Review your selections, then click Finish.
 
NOTE: To clear your customization and go back to the default text, hover over Actions and click Reset All to Default.
 
Customizing Text Within Your Event
 

1 Access the Language Details page. Begin by selecting your event. Hover over Website & Registration and, under Website, click Language Management.

If applicable, select a language. Have multiple registration paths? Choose if the text will be customized for everyone in the event or for a specific path in the Customize for: dropdown.

2 Import changes in bulk. You cannot import changes without downloading the language template, a spreadsheet that contains all customizable system text. Hover over Actions and click Import Desktop Text. Select the second Download a file and save the sample. This file will include previous changes.

Locate it on your computer or network. Then right click, hover over Open with, and select Microsoft Office Excel. The first column contains the Text ID, the second lists the default text, and the fourth provides a description. Add any custom text in the third column.

After entering your changes, save the spreadsheet as a text file (.txt) or Excel workbook (.xls or .xlsx).

Back in Cvent, click Browse... to locate the file on your computer or network. Once you're done, click Next. Map the columns to the Cvent fields and click Next again. Review your selections, then click Finish.

Or make the changes individually. Enter a word or two of the phrase or field you want to change in the search bar, and press Enter.

Under the Actions column, click the User-added image icon to the left of the name. Type the text into the Custom textbox. Click the User-added image icon under Actions to save the text.

 
NOTE: To completely remove the text all together, enter   in the custom text.

NOTE: To clear your customizations and go back to the default text, click the User-added image icon under Action, then Confirm.
